Welcome to Gallery at Kingston, in the great state of Oklahoma. The first thoughts of Gallery of Kingston came about in 2013. Linda and I are retired and like most retired couples we were trying to not be bored. Linda had some sewing patterns and was making some appliques and I was looking bored, when she asked me if I thought I could use one of her patterns and make it in wood. I wasn’t sure, but I told her I would give it a try. Our first wood creation was the black panther. The rest is history, Gallery at Kingston was born and God has blessed us.
During the past several years we have opened not only this store, but we have branched out and opened other online stores on Zibbet, Etsy, Pinterest and several others. Our creations have evolved from simple animals, into full landscape pictures.

We have found over time that “Cut Glass” patterns work the best for the type of Intarsia that we make. Several types of woodworking falls under the term “Intarsia”. Our Intarsia is unique in several ways, the first way is that each and every creation we make is original and totally one of a kind. We make each item one at a time and when it sells, we make another one to take it’s place. Very seldom will we ever have more that one ready to go into our stores. We also do custom orders, including custom signs. Anyone having questions regarding custom orders, or just questions about our products can contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have tried many kinds of wood getting to this point and we have settled on 1/2“ Baltic Birch, 9 ply, plywood. This wood is beautiful, strong and stays together for a great finished product. Some of our earlier creations will be made of a wood other than Baltic Birch.
As you browse through our store you will find each subject has their own page, i.e. Abstract musical instruments, home decor, religious creations, patriotic, birds, water & fish creations, African animals, dogs, No. American animals, domestic house cats, abstract art, custom orders, and custom signs. "Important note" shipping is FREE for all items shipped within the continental U.S. God Bless America.
Again WELCOME to our store and enjoy your tour. Welcome to Gallery at Kingston and thank you for visiting our site. We create wood sculptured wall art. Our form of wood art is called “Intarsia”, but not all Intarsia is constructed in the same manner. Please note that all of our creations are handmade, hand painted and hand finished, each creation is original and made one at a time. Please note, we now include FREE SHIPPING within the continental U.S.
We are using Baltic Birch plywood at this time, because we have found it is the best wood for our product. We develop our own patterns, and/or recently we have been purchasing patterns. The pieces are cut into whatever it takes to make a completed finished product. We have some creations made with 10 pieces and some with 350 pieces. The quantity depends on the complexity, and size of the item. The size, complexity, and amount of work that goes into making each piece also determines the selling cost of each item. In addition to the finished front side, and edges, the back is painted, stamped with our logo and a wall hanger is attached for your use.
The process involves cutting the wood to the size required to fit the pattern, and then transferring the pattern onto the wood. Using a hand router, We then rout out all of the lines. After the routing is completed the wood is cut with a scroll saw into the amount of pieces required to create the item we are doing at the time. The cut pieces are then hand sanded, rounding the edges in the process. The amount of sanding required differs for each creation, some more, some less. When the pieces are finished, they are all glued together, then painted with acrylic paint and then finished with a clear finish. They look great, and the detail makes them unique.
We also have several other stores/shops where we do our actual selling. Just click on the links below and you will go direct to those sites.
