What a month January has been! for our little shop! Wonderful and so much fun creating all of those special orders. All orders have been delivered and based on the feed back, all satisfied clients!! We enjoy the challenge, and our shop has been smoking, with sawdust flying out the doors!!
Many new projects are on the drawing board and some are in the process of being created as this Blog is being written. Remember to check back often, you never know what you might find. Jay stays busy with new patterns and some new tools!! You know, buy a man a new gadget, or tool and he is very happy to spend the day in the shop, playing!!
Wow, I just have to say keeping up with all the changes going on with E Commerce is unbelievable. For two senior citizens it is some mountain to climb!! Not a day goes by that our eye's don't roll back into our head. I'm actually learning some new words, that I didn't know existed. Pray for us as we continue this journey!!
For those of you not involved with an online shop, you have no idea what is involved. First you have to learn to do back flips, then master words and terminology that no one in the real world has ever heard of, or used!! Then put them to use!! Good grief it has been a trying time for us to master this new language. When you're older than dirt nothing comes easy.
Keeping up with trends is another thing, one must master as it changes from year to year. Does anyone realize how fast a year goes by? Just about the time I finally get it set in my brain what's Hot, what's Not, it all changes again. If brain activity truly keeps Dementia away, I should be good for many years!!
Seems like Lighthouses are very popular for 2017, and we have several in the shop being worked on. Hope to have them in our shops soon. Lots of new items are in the planning stages for all things Nautical. We have added a new page one this site for just Lighthouses.
If you love Nautical take a look at this shop http://eagle414seashellcr.wix.com/gerry. What she can create with sea shells is amazing!! The Mask will be a real attention grabber, love them.
We are animal lovers, and the owners of three great dogs, and we are always looking to make more of these in wood. Great way to display that favorite pet of yours on the family wall of photos. Have a breed you would like us to make, let us know and we will see what we can do. Right now we have the German Shepherd, Saint Bernard, Pit Bull, Pug, Dachshund, and the little Yorkie. Hope to have many other breeds this year.
One of my great friends has a wonderful shop and she has some pendants, with many animals and birds combined with gemstones, perfect for women, or men. So different, have not seen anything like them anywhere!! Drop by and take a look at http://www.etsy.com/shop/rivendellrockjewelry/items?section_id=16367608.
Well I have rambled long enough, and it's time to head to the shop and get to work, Jay needs some guidance and believe me that's a tough job!! But someone has to do it!! Remember you can find our shops here!!!!
Thanks for stopping by,

Welcome to our new website. We are a very unique wood wall art shop. I have been sewing, embroidery, crochet and appliqué for most of my life and Jay comes from a wood working family.
Jay was looking bored one morning about a year ago and I asked him if he thought he could apply one of my patterns too wood. His response was “I don’t know, but I can try”
Our first creation was the black leopard shown in our shop. From that point on we have been making a variety of American animals, African animals, and various other items.
Neighbors, friends and church family started purchasing our creations and ordering custom made items and encouraging us to put our creations online. So we have recently opened a Zibbet store, A Etsy store and this website. Our email address is email@example.com, please feel free to email us if you need specific information not shown in our stores.
We’ll try to add a new blog every couple of weeks and in those blogs we will give you more information about us and the process required in making our Intarsia wall hanging, wood wall art.
